Were single gloves, rather than pairs of gloves, counted as an item of PPE in the Welsh Government database of PPE?

The unit of issue for gloves is determined by the manufacturer’s product pack size, where some manufacturers provide single gloves and others a pair of gloves within a pack.

The product held within pandemic stock were packs of single gloves, and therefore the items issued from pandemic stock were single gloves. The product type is outlined below:

GLOVE NITRILE EXAMINATION 6 NEWTON LARGE MEDICARE (PACK 200) : GN92L

GLOVE NITRILE EXAMINATION 6 NEWTON MEDIUM MEDICARE (PACK 200) : GN92M

GLOVE NITRILE EXAMINATION 6 NEWTON SMALL MEDICARE (PACK 200) : GN92S

The recording and reporting of PPE stock and supply by NWSSP is based on number of packs, therefore this will include both single and pairs of gloves.
