What percentage of the grant money made available to business in Wales by the Development Bank of Wales between 1 January 2020 and 1 April 2020 was made to firms run by members of ethnic minorities?

The Development Bank of Wales (DBW) do not offer grant funding. Rather, their offer is based around debt and equity products.  DBW invested £33.5m through debt and equity between 1 January – 31 March 2020.

During the same period around 7% of the businesses that DBW received impact information for had a business owner from an ethnic minority. This gives some indication of finance support. However, due to data collection systems and response rates, this figure cannot be directly correlated back to the £33.5m of lending for the January – March period.
