Given the climate emergency, will the Commission provide details of how and when the environmental impact of undertaking a week of Assembly business in north Wales in June was considered by the Commission?
The Commission has closely monitored the advice provided by the Welsh Government, Public Health Wales and the UK Government as the Covid-19 virus outbreak has progressed, and has taken the decision to postpone Senedd Clwyd.
The environmental impact of delivering Senedd Clwyd has been a consideration for the project board, as the planning has developed, and this will remain the case when preparations resume.
Clearly, it is not possible now to provide total costs for Senedd Clwyd; however, the commitment has not changed to keep costs within the budget for engagement and outreach, agreed by the Assembly in November 2019.
