What action is the Welsh Government taking to address the safety elements of mobility scooter use where an increase in accidents is resulting in either injury or death?

The laws and guidance for the use of mobility scooters are set out in the Highway Code and we would expect all mobility scooter users to ensure that they are aware of these rules. We currently have no plans to make changes to the speed limits for mobility scooters in Wales, however, we will keep this issue under review in light of potential future changes to the law regarding the use of electric scooters being considered by the UK Government.
