Further to the response provided to questions in Plenary on 7 January 2020, will the First Minister confirm how many of the 480 homes built per month in 2019 would qualify as affordable homes?
Answered by First Minister | Answered on 22/01/2020
The 480 new homes quoted relate to the first nine months of 2019. This data is not collected in a way which directly answers the question posed.
In 2018-19, 4,476 affordable housing units were delivered, on average 373 per month. This takes into account all types of provision including affordable units as defined in Technical Advice Note 2 and provided through Rent to Own and Help to Buy.
