Further to the publication of the Wales Infrastructure Investment Plan - Project Pipeline Update and the publication of the Welsh Government draft budget for 2020-2021, what consideration has been given to bringing forward improvements to intra-Wales road links on the A470, A483 and A487 during this budget period?

The developmental stages for improvement schemes cannot be compressed or omitted and follow Welsh Transport Appraisal Guidance (WelTAG). This is a thorough, albeit time-consuming process which ensures that schemes deliver the Welsh Government’s objectives and comply with legislation such as the Well-Being of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015.
