How are pupils selected to take part in each Seren Network Hub, and if the criteria is different for each one, will the Minister outline those differences?

The national eligibility criteria for Seren Academy students is:
- Learners receive an automatic invitation if they have achieved a minimum of six A* grades at GCSE.
- Others may, at the discretion of the local Hub Co-ordinator (in partnership with schools and colleges) receive an invitation to join the Seren programme if they either:
- Have an exceptional aptitude in a specific field of study; or
- Has achieved a minimum of five A/A* GCSEs and has the attitude and potential to compete for a place on a highly selective course and/or leading university.
