Will the Minister confirm whether all incinerators are required to have an environment impact assessment before planning permission is given?

Incinerators which fall within a project description set out in Schedule 1 to the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) always require environmental impact assessment (EIA). Those which fall within a project description set out in Schedule 2 to the regulations require EIA if they are likely to have significant effects on the environment.
