Will the Minister make a statement on the cost of the SQW Review of Regional Skills Partnerships?
A commitment was made in November 2018 by the former Minister for Welsh Language and Lifelong Learning, Eluned Morgan AM, to appoint an independent advisor to further strengthen the three Regional Skills Partnerships. The aim was to drive greater consistency across the three partnerships, including reviewing their links with City/Growth Deal structures. I carried forward this commitment and approved funding up to £10,000 to appoint SQW, as specialist consultants, to carry out the review.
The bi-lingual report came in just under budget (£9,918.00) at the end of May. It is published on the Business Wales, Skills for Business website.
