Will the Commission clarify who funded the National Assembly for Wales stand at the National Eisteddfod of Wales 2019, and provide a breakdown of any costs accordingly?

As part of the summer events programme in our public engagement strategy, the National Assembly for Wales has a presence at the National Eisteddfod.

In 2019, the National Assembly for Wales attended the National Eisteddfod which was hosted in Llanrwst, North Wales. The cost has been allocated within the communications department budget. The overall spend for the Eisteddfod totalled, £42,265.00 (breakdown below).

As part of our presence at the National Eisteddfod we sponsor the Societies Pavilions, which are physically attached to our stand. These pavilions host a variety of sessions, talks and events throughout the week and attract significant footfall. The sponsorship agreement allows us to host our own series of events during the week and also ensures that our logo is displayed on relevant branding across the maes of the Eisteddfod.
