Will the Minister state what the budget for Research Involvement, Health and Care Research Wales, was in 2016/17, 2017/18, and 2018/19, and provide the number of research opportunities that were based in north and south Wales separately for the three financial years?
Health and Care Research Wales provides an ‘Enabling Involvement Fund’ to support members of the public to work with researchers to prioritise, design and conduct health and social care research studies.
Research Involvement opportunities are available on an all-Wales basis, and Health and Care Research Wales provides support to members of the public to take part to any opportunity within Wales, from wherever they are located.
The table below shows the number of new research involvement opportunities offered in the last 3 financial years, and the total budget for the Enabling Involvement Fund each year.
