Will the Assembly Commission make a statement as to what criteria was used or met in the decision to erect a plaque in commemoration of Captain Archibald Dickson on the Assembly estate?

The criteria used for deciding on all memorials are detailed in the Memorials Policy. This Policy also describes the process to be followed for those wishing the Commission  to consider the installation of a memorial.

In the case of Captain Dickson, a proposal was received that met the criteria contained in the Policy, the Commission considered the application and agreed to approve it.
