Will the Commission provide a detailed breakdown of voluntary redundancy payments made over the last three years to Commission staff, between the following figures: £1-£25k, £25k-£50k, £50k-£75k, £75k-£100k, £100k plus?

The costs of our 2018-19 Voluntary Exit Scheme will be confirmed in our Annual Report and Accounts which have been audited by the Wales Audit Office and which will be laid and published this week. We have no plans for any further expenditure on voluntary exit schemes in the near future.

We last held a Voluntary Exit Scheme in 2015-16 and the audited figures are included on Page 134 of the 2016-17 Annual Report and Accounts

The amount payable to an individual has been calculated in accordance with the rules of the Civil Service Compensation Scheme in place at the time of the VES (one month’s salary for each year of service – subject to an overall maximum of 21 month’s salary with a tapering arrangement for those who are within two years of their scheme retirement age).
