Will the Minister provide a breakdown of Town and Community Councillors who have received audit training in Wales?

The Welsh Government does not collect information relating to training undertaken by councillors. The training requirements of councillors and staff is a matter for councils themselves to consider.
However, I am considering whether certain core training, including on financial management and governance, should be made mandatory.
I also intend to bring forward legislation in the forthcoming Local Government and Elections (Wales) Bill, which will require each community, and town council to publish a training plan setting out how it proposes to address the training needs of its councillor’s and staff.
