Will the Minister confirm that the Transport Commissioner's new office will be in Caernarfon and will he provide a timetable for the relocation?

Answered by Minister for Economy and Transport | Answered on 11/02/2019

My officials are working with Gwynedd Council and others to provide office facilities for the Traffic Commissioner for Wales in Caernarfon, in addition to an office in Cardiff.

That process will include the fitting-out of the office space for the Commissioner’s needs in Caernarfon, and to also accommodate three full-time bilingual staff who will be employed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) but whose posts will be funded by the Welsh Government.

The premises will be ready for occupation by the support staff once the DVSA has completed the recruitment and appointment process, which is expected to be by the end of April 2019.
