What additional resources will be made available to public bodies expected to implement the Pay Remit?

Discussions with all trade union partners around agreeing a pay award for the Welsh Government’s civil service in 2019-20 is still ongoing. The 2017 pay remit guidance issued to Welsh Government sponsored bodies covered awards made in 2017-18 and 2018-19. The 2019 pay remit guidance will be issued in due course. The budget for 2019-20 which sets out the Welsh Government’s spending plans for the public sector in Wales was approved by the National Assembly on 15 January.
