What plans does the Cabinet Secretary have to improve disabled access at Cwmbran railway station?

Answered by Minister for Economy and Transport | Answered on 07/01/2019

Of the £194 million investment in stations managed by Transport for Wales (TfW), £15 million has been ring fenced for accessibility improvements at stations. £250,000 per year will also be allocated for further station improvements such as providing step-free access to platforms.

While accessibility improvements have already been identified at some stations, a survey of all stations managed by TfW will be undertaken, Cwmbran included, in the next nine months to understand where accessibility improvements can be made and also to understand car parking issues at these stations.
