Will the Cabinet Secretary give an update on the outcome of the technical PCET (post-compulsory education and training) consultation and the timescale of establishing the new TERCW body (Tertiary, Education, Research Commission Body)?

I published a summary of responses to our Technical Consultation, ‘Public Good and a Prosperous Wales – the next steps’ on 12 October. I remain committed to bringing forward legislation during the current Assembly term to establish the new Commission. Following the completion of the technical consultation, my officials have established an Implementation Programme which is in the early stages of delivery. Subject to legislation, I hope that the Commission will be established around 2023.
