When will members of the public know whether they are included in phase 2 of the Superfast Cymru scheme and how will they be able to find out?
Now the grant agreements for Lots 1 and 3 have been awarded we are working with Openreach to confirm the premises that will benefit from the rollout in these areas. A new online presence is being prepared for the suite of interventions, including the successor project. People will be able to check online whether their premises is scheduled to be completed under this project or if another intervention would be more suitable.
It is also important to remember that fibre is not the only answer to faster speeds; a range of solutions and approaches will be needed to meet the unique challenges presented by Wales’ topography and population spread. The new fibre roll-out is just one of a suite of measures in place to offer fast, reliable broadband to all.
