What provision is in place in Conwy for free transport to college for young people with autism?

The Learner Travel (Wales) Measure 2008 sets out the statutory duties on local authorities on providing transport to learners. Local authorities have a duty to assess all learners in their area up to the age of 19 and provide transport based on age, distance, aptitude and safety criteria for learners of statutory school age i.e. 5 – 16 year olds. The Measure also allows local authorities to make further discretionary transport provision including for post 16 learners with additional learning needs. The matter you have raised is for Conwy County Borough Council to consider.
