Does the Cabinet Secretary plan to undertake a public consultation on the mandatory microchipping of owned cats in Wales, and if so, when does she expect this to be launched and if not what will the next steps be?

The Consultation on amendments to the Code of Practice for the Welfare of Cats will be launched before Christmas recess. Whilst the consultation will be seeking views on all elements of the Code, comments on the microchipping advice will be specifically encouraged.
