Welsh Government does not collect detailed information from NHS Wales bodies on their spending on commissioning independent or private organisations to provide health or social services.
The annual statutory accounts of the health boards do report expenditure on healthcare with private providers in note 2.2 of the LHB Summarised Accounts. The amounts disclosed i) for the accounting years 2015-16 and 2016-17 and ii) for the percentage of expenditure on healthcare with private providers as a percentage of the Welsh health resource departmental expenditure limit for the same accounting years were as follows:
