Have any concerns been expressed to the Welsh Government in relation to incomplete infrastructure and utility services at the Parc Felindre business park in Swansea and, if so, will the Cabinet Secretary provide details of those concerns?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport | Answered on 30/05/2018

The annual audited accounts for the joint venture show that the spend on the Parc Felindre site prior to 2007 by the former WDA, the Welsh European Funding Office and the City and County of Swansea was £24.9 million. This expenditure was for site acquisition, remediation and off site highway improvements. Post 2007, spend to provide site infrastructure and utilities from the Welsh Government was £2.9m. The City and County of Swansea received £6.87m of EU funds to deliver its Felindre Strategic Business Park project which also received match-funding of £1.77m from the Welsh Government’s Targeted Match Fund. No concerns have been raised with the Welsh Government team dealing with this site in relation to incomplete services and utilities at Parc Felindre.
