Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm how he will be working with local health boards across Wales to implement the recommendations of the report of the task and finish group on the use of vaginal synthetic mesh tape and sheets for stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse?

An implementation group directly reporting to me and under the chairmanship of Tracy Myhill, Chief Executive of ABMU Health Board will be established comprising representatives of NHS (Wales) and Welsh Government to plan and guide the implementation of the recommendations. In time this could be extended to oversee the implementation of other related areas of healthcare requiring urgent attention. I am anxious that the recommendations be implemented at pace and I will be engaging with the health boards to establish what local improvements can be made immediately.
