Will the Cabinet Secretary provide an update on plans to improve the A547 from Rhuddlan to Abergele, which is known locally as the Abergele Straits?

We provided Road Safety Grant funding to Denbighshire County Council in 2016/17 for a feasibility study of options to improve road safety and carriageway condition on the A547 between Rhuddlan and Abergele. At that time the Council indicated a potential scheme construction cost in excess of £12 million which would be unaffordable from within anticipated Road Safety Grant budgets. For this reason the Council has not applied for funding to deliver the scheme.
