How many medical training places are currently funded by the Welsh Government and how does this compare with the last five academic years, providing a breakdown by university and speciality?

I refer you to the answer I gave to you for WAQ75778 and WAQ7759 on 6th February 2018.

The Welsh Government funded 416 medical training places for the 2017-18 academic year (339 places in Cardiff medical school and 77 places in Swansea medical school).

Medical students do not undertake speciality training.  They will not specialise in a field of their choice until they have obtained their medical degree.
