Given that the Cabinet Secretary is responsible for developing the agri-food sector, associated supply chains, promotion and marketing of food and drink from Wales, will the Cabinet Secretary explain why there is no corresponding duty for the promotion and marketing of forest products and the forestry sector?

The Forestry Act 1967 creates a duty to promote the interests of forestry and the production and supply of timber and forest products. This duty is conferred on Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and NRW has a range of functions and powers under the Act to deliver this duty and support Welsh forestry.
