Will the Cabinet Secretary give a statement on the performance and work programme of GwE, the school effectiveness and improvement service for north Wales?
I refer you to my previous response on 15th December.
I meet regularly with GwE, my most recent meeting being on the 23rd November. It is important that our discussions around performance are open and honest as possible to ensure that we continue to work collaboratively to improve outcomes.
We discussed current performance in the region and their plans to support the objectives in Education in Wales: Our National Mission. I have confidence in the performance and work programme of GwE and that it is aligned with our national priorities for education.
