Further to WAQ75191, why did the Welsh Government ask for the Circuit of Wales to be removed from the Office of National Statistics priority list in April 2017?

As I stated in my reply to WAQ73943, a provisional ruling from the ONS would only have been sought following a decision in principle to offer Welsh Government support and when contractual documentation was in near-final or final form. These conditions were not present in January or April 2017, so it was appropriate for the Circuit of Wales project to be removed from both the indicative work programme and the priority list.
