Will the Cabinet Secretary confirm the Welsh Government’s intention to publish a report on progress towards meeting its well-being objectives, following the completion of the current financial year, and will that report be published before the summer recess to ensure it can be scrutinised in relation to the subsequent budget?

Answered by Cabinet Secretary for Finance | Answered on 05/12/2017

The Welsh Government’s cross-cutting national strategy, ‘Prosperity for All’, sets our priorities for this government term, and lays the foundations for further action over the longer term. Our revised well-being objectives are at the heart of the national strategy and will inform everything that we do.

Alongside Prosperity for All – the national strategy I published an updated well-being statement, explaining how the well-being objectives in the national strategy will contribute to the seven well-being goals for Wales. This explained our approach to planning, monitoring and reporting on the well-being objectives.

We will publish and lay an annual report of the progress we have made towards meeting our well-being objectives as soon as reasonably practicable following completion of the current financial year.
