What is the total spend by Welsh Government sponsored bodies on sponsoring visas for overseas staff?
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Government Effectiveness & the Constitution | Answered on 19/10/2026
The Welsh Government has incurred no expenditure on sponsoring visas for staff employed by Welsh Government sponsored bodies. The Welsh Government does not hold information on expenditure incurred directly by those bodies. Each body must hold its own sponsor licence and make its own sponsorship arrangements.
