Will the Cabinet Minister confirm when the Cardiff Parkway development will begin?

We want Cardiff Parkway station to be delivered as quickly as possible as part of the programme to deliver the ‘Burns Stations’ in the south east of Wales. Cardiff Parkway forms a key part of our ambitions for a better connected and more sustainable transport network. The Cabinet Minister for Finance recently wrote to the UK Chancellor seeking the funding for the delivery of the Burns Stations including Cardiff Parkway to be included in the Autumn Statement. I am confident that Transport for Wales and Network Rail will be able to work in partnership to deliver the station at pace.
