Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update on plans to develop a new multidisciplinary healthcare centre in the centre of Bangor?
Following receipt of an application for funding to support business case development in March 2025, further work was identified as necessary before the proposal could progress to the next stage. The Strategic Outline Case (SOC) is currently being reviewed by Cyngor Gwynedd and Betsi Cadwaladr UHB to determine the next steps for the proposal before resubmission to Welsh Government.
To support this process, Welsh Government officials facilitated a visit to a similar scheme in West Wales for Betsi Cadwaladr UHB and Cyngor Gwynedd representatives, enabling them to review the project and identify lessons learned that could inform the development of the Bangor Health and Wellbeing Hub.
