When will the Welsh Government make a decision on approving the business case relating to infrastructure improvements to support the expansion of the newborn screening laboratory in Cardiff?

My officials are working closely with NHS partners on proposals to establish the requirements for modernising and futureproofing newborn screening infrastructure in Wales that include laboratory developments. These are required before additional conditions can be safely introduced and enable us to respond to future newborn screening developments and recommendations from UK National Screening Committee. We expect to receive advice on the proposals during the next few weeks.
