This Senedd:
1. Notes:
a) the loss of RFA Sir Galahad on 8 June 1982 was not only a military tragedy but a deeply Welsh one;
b) 48 people lost their lives, including 32 Welsh Guards, and many suffered life-changing injuries, and
c) survivors, veterans and bereaved families still carry the consequences.
2. Recognises families are still seeking answers.
3. Further notes:
a) evidence remains withheld, some sealed until 2065, and
b) campaigners argue that many of those affected may never see the full release of the evidence.
4. Calls on the UK Government to release all documents relating to the disaster in the spirit of transparency and accountability.
