This Senedd:
1. Notes the publication of the BMA Cymru Wales save our surgeries to save the NHS report.
2. Recognises general practice’s role in the sustainability of NHS Wales.
3. Notes that Wales has lost 106 GP practices since 2012, with patients per full-time equivalent GP increasing by around 30 per cent.
4. Further notes the report's conclusion that workforce, workload and capacity pressures threaten the delivery of more care closer to home.
5. Supports the growth of the GP workforce.
6. Calls on Welsh Government to publish a roadmap for strengthening General Medical Services investment and securing lasting sustainability of general practice.
