1. Notes the 60th anniversary of a University of the Air White Paper which led to the establishment of The Open University.
2. Supports its founding principles of openness to learners throughout life, academic excellence, and flexibility.
3. Acknowledges the central role of Arts Minister Jennie Lee in developing and championing this progressive vision.
4. Congratulates The Open University in Wales on its continuing contribution, with over 17,000 current students spread across all communities.
5. Affirms the principles of the white paper as essential to meeting Wales’s current and future skills, productivity, inclusion, and lifelong learning needs.
