National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Acknowledges the efforts of the international community to mediate a longstanding peace between the Syrian Democratic Forces and government forces in Syria.
2. Expresses grave concern regarding the tens of thousands of civilians displaced from Kurdish-majority areas of Aleppo, namely Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh.
3. Echoes the call by the United States Special Envoy for Syria for all parties to exercise maximum restraint, immediately cease hostilities, and return to dialogue.
4. Urges the Welsh Government to support the UK Government in promoting a strong and lasting peace in Syria through dialogue and humanitarian measures.
5. Stands by the Kurdish communities in Wales.
