National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes the historical and cultural ties between Wales and Sudan.
2. Expresses grave concern at the continuing civil war in Sudan and the suffering of millions.
3. Is very concerned that since the civil war erupted in 2023 more than 12.7 million people have been forcibly displaced inside the country, multiple times.
4. Regrets that 24.6 million Sudanese are facing acute hunger.
5. Extends deepest sympathy to Welsh citizens who have lost loved ones during the conflict.
6. Calls for an immediate end to the civil war.
7. Urges the international community to urgently scale up funding and diplomatic action.
