National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes that harvesting rainwater from roofs into storage tanks reduces flood risk, by slowing runoff during heavy rainfall.
2.Recognises filtered rainwater is a valuable non-potable water resource for domestic, industrial, and agricultural purposes.
3. Encourages rainwater use to build a resilient Wales under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2025.
4. Commends the Water Reuse Association’s campaign for all new buildings in Wales to include water reuse capability.
5. Recognises the multiple benefits of rainwater collection, regardless of the water undertakers forecast drought planning status.
