1. Notes:
a) the tragic sinking of the Suez Maru on 29 November 1943, where 550 allied prisoners of war died after being torpedoed by the USS Bonefish, unaware of its human cargo;
b) that survivors were executed by Japanese forces, violating international law; and
c) that 41 of those prisoners of war were from Wales.
2. Calls on the Welsh Government to urge the UK Government to:
a) recognise the Suez Maru Apology Campaign’s call for an apology over failure to pursue war crimes trials; and
b) honour victims through education, remembrance, and support.
