National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Welcomes the #ShopKind retail industry campaign and the #ShopKind Week commencing 30 June 2025, coordinated by the Association of Convenience Stores and supported by the Welsh Retail Consortium.

2. Regrets the growing problem of customer abuse and violence toward shopworkers.

3. Supports the promotion of kind, courteous and respectful behaviour in shops and ensuring the safety of all retail workers, so that everyone can enjoy shopping whilst supporting local jobs.

4. Calls on the Welsh Government and others to commit to raising awareness of the impact of abuse and violence towards shopworkers, and to working collaboratively to address this.
