National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Welcomes Infant Mental Health Awareness Week, 9 - 15 June.

2. Recognises the first 1000 days as a critical period in a baby’s development.

3. Expresses concern that the voices of babies are often overlooked in policy development and decision making.

4. Commends the Children’s Rights in the Early Years Network on their pledge for babies in Wales, which ensures all babies are heard and their rights upheld.

5. Calls on the Welsh Government and Senedd Members to commit to championing the rights of babies and to embed their needs, voices and wellbeing at the heart of every policy and decision.
