This Senedd:
1. Wishes the best of luck to all the runners competing in this Sunday's (19th January) popular Lliswerry 8 race, which takes place on Newport's unique and historic Gwent Levels.
2. Notes the proud history of the event organised each year by Lliswerry Runners, with the first event taking place in the mid 1980s.
3. Applauds the community spirit of the club, where, prior to the race more than 120 volunteers will take part in an annual litter pick of the Lliswerry area and use the event to raise money for St David's Hospice.
