National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Welcomes the campaign from the Welsh Retail Consortium and Usdaw, urging shoppers to be considerate and respectful to retail workers this Christmas.
2. Notes that Christmas can be an especially challenging time with retail workers working hard to keep shelves stocked and products delivered.
3. Recognises abuse towards retail workers has climbed, with figures from Usdaw showing over two thirds have experienced verbal abuse in the past year.
4. Affirms any mistreatment of colleagues in stores is wholly unacceptable and shouldn't be tolerated.
5. Commends this responsible and positive initiative from employers and trade unions so that we can all enjoy Christmas.
