National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:

1. Congratulates the Wales Women’s national football team on reaching a historic play-off final for UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 vs the Republic of Ireland.

2. Recognises the advancements made by the Football Association of Wales to raise playing standards, improve playing conditions, and to secure equal pay for the team.

3. Calls on the Football Association of Wales to apologise for withdrawing the Wales Women’s national football team from UEFA Women's EURO 2005 qualification; the dissolution of the team between March 2004 and March 2006, and the subsequent effect on the development of women’s football in Wales.
