National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes:
a) the UN climate conference COP29 in Baku; and
b) that communities across Wales and globally are negatively affected by the climate crisis and that the people most affected are those in the global south who have done the least to contribute to the crisis.
2. Calls on the Welsh Government to:
a) put climate justice and global responsibility at the heart of all public policy, including procurement, trade, pensions, and education;
b) navigate the transition to a net-zero economy urgently and justly; and
c) show leadership in championing loss and damage, advocating for equitable and adequate compensation for affected communities.
