National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Notes the findings of the Phase 2 report of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
2. Regrets the decades of failure by the UK Government, the local authority, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, and the leadership of the London Fire Brigade, among other bodies which led to a tragic loss of life.
3. Notes the concerns of campaigners that high-rise buildings in Wales may be similarly susceptible to fires, and that local bodies are not adequately prepared for them.
4. Calls on the Welsh Government to implement the findings of the Phase 2 report, especially regarding the tightening of fire safety regulations.
