National Assembly for Wales

This Senedd:
1. Recognises the legacy of chemical waste in the valleys, poisoning the land.
2. Calls for a national response to address problems created by forever chemicals, and for public bodies to work together to support the communities affected.
3. Notes the plight of Ynysddu in South Wales East which, along with other communities across Wales, has had to deal with the legacy of polychlorinated biphenyls, which still contaminates water and the landscape.
4. Congratulates local campaigners, actor and activist Michael Sheen, for drawing attention to this scandal.
5. Notes the production of these chemicals is banned in 151 countries, including the UK.
