This Senedd:
1. Congratulates the Salvation Army for marking 150 years of the organisation’s work in Wales.
2. Notes the story of the Salvation Army in Wales, which began on 11 November 1874 at the People’s Hall on Bute Street, Cardiff. The worshipping community church was started by Christian missionary John Allen. That was followed by corps at Cardiff Stuart Hall, Cardiff 1 and Cardiff Ely. In 1877, Cardiff Roath Temple was opened before Merthyr Tydfil corps was established a year later.
3. Wishes the Salvation Army success in their landmark celebration and in their continuing work in Wales.
